This model will go on sale and will also be available for rent with the 2020 Dakar in Saudi Arabia in sight.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>PH Sport is the leader in France in the preparation, operation and rental of rally cars from the regional level to the WRC. It first became involved in off-road rallying by renting out ex-works Peugeots from 2016 onwards. The team improved year after year and helped Khalid Al Qassimi to sixth place in the 2018 Dakar and S\u00e9bastien Loeb to a podium finish in the last one. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A new chapter is about to begin in this activity with the Z\u00e9phyr, an SSV T3P produced by the team based in Langres (Haute-Marne). <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Based on the Can-Am Maverick X3 the Z\u00e9phyr stands out from traditional SSVs thanks to light carbon bodywork designed around a tubular chassis homologated by the FIA creating a credible, economical and suitable alternative to the vehicles in the T1 category.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>While the engine with its air restrictor is the original one to respect the FIA regulations, the other elements of the vehicle have been the target of specific attention. Among these are the latest 3-way BOS dampers with hydraulic compression and rebound stops, ultra-light springs, an electric harness that enables the latest ECU to be installed as well as an electronic central dashboard and data acquisition system. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>These modifications combined with carbon seats keep the weight down to 900 kilograms (with an on-board spare wheel). Two classic rims shod with BF Goodrich tyres will be available: 14 and 15 inches according to each event\u2019s regulations. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>After an intensive test programme in France and in Abu Dhabi carried out by several drivers from various representative domains and world champions in their respective fields, the first Z\u00e9phyr will go on sale and for rent for the 2020 Dakar. As is the case in all its activities, PH Sport offers a top-quality turn-key service integrating all the technical, sporting and logistical aspects of off-road rallying. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The SSVs have been accepted in the SxS category since 2017 and comply with regulations that allow the transformation of light vehicles within capped costs to give amateurs an accessible, enjoyable vehicle and at the same time allowing manufacturers to spot future talents. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote\"><p>\u201cWe\u2019re very excited about this challenge and interest is already running very high as most of the twenty vehicles in the first run have been bought or rented. Our discovery of off-road rallying continues through new adventures and the timing seemed perfect to us to launch ourselves into the construction of Z\u00e9phyr, the most-advanced SSV available today. We\u2019re tackling this new chapter in our activities with humility as we still have a great deal to learn. Parmi ceux-ci, on retrouve des amortisseurs BOS de derni\u00e8re g\u00e9n\u00e9ration \u00e0 trois voies avec but\u00e9e hydraulique de compression et de d\u00e9tente, des ressorts ultral\u00e9gers ainsi qu\u2019un faisceau \u00e9lectrique permettant l\u2019usage d\u2019un ECU de derni\u00e8re g\u00e9n\u00e9ration, d\u2019un dashboard \u00e9lectronique central ainsi que l\u2019acquisition de donn\u00e9es.<\/p>\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\n\n<!-- wp:paragraph -->\n<p>Alli\u00e9es aux si\u00e8ges carbone, ces modifications contiennent le poids \u00e0 900 kilogrammes (avec une roue de secours embarqu\u00e9e). Deux mod\u00e8les de jantes chauss\u00e9es de pneumatiques BF Goodrich seront d\u2019ailleurs pr\u00e9sent\u00e9s : 14 et 15\u2019\u2019, selon le r\u00e8glement d\u00e9di\u00e9 \u00e0 chaque \u00e9preuve.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\n\n<!-- wp:paragraph -->\n<p>Apr\u00e8s un intense programme d\u2019essais en France puis \u00e0 Abu Dhabi men\u00e9 avec plusieurs pilotes issus d\u2019horizons diff\u00e9rents et repr\u00e9sentatifs et des champions du monde dans leurs sp\u00e9cialit\u00e9s respectives, les premiers exemplaires du Z\u00e9phyr seront disponibles \u00e0 la vente et \u00e0 la location pour l\u2019\u00e9dition 2020 du Dakar.
