PH Sport has been present in off-road rallying since 2016 and it has deepened its links with the sport with the most advanced SSV TP3 ever put on sale: the Z\u00e9phyr. This model will go on sale and will also be available for rent with the 2020 Dakar in Saudi Arabia in sight.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

PH Sport is the leader in France in the preparation, operation and rental of rally cars from the regional level to the WRC. It first became involved in off-road rallying by renting out ex-works Peugeots from 2016 onwards. The team improved year after year and helped Khalid Al Qassimi to sixth place in the 2018 Dakar and S\u00e9bastien Loeb to a podium finish in the last one. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

A new chapter is about to begin in this activity with the Z\u00e9phyr, an SSV T3P produced by the team based in Langres (Haute-Marne). <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Based on the Can-Am Maverick X3 the Z\u00e9phyr stands out from traditional SSVs thanks to light carbon bodywork designed around a tubular chassis homologated by the FIA creating a credible, economical and suitable alternative to the vehicles in the T1 category.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

While the engine with its air restrictor is the original one to respect the FIA regulations, the other elements of the vehicle have been the target of specific attention. Among these are the latest 3-way BOS dampers with hydraulic compression and rebound stops, ultra-light springs, an electric harness that enables the latest ECU to be installed as well as an electronic central dashboard and data acquisition system. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

These modifications combined with carbon seats keep the weight down to 900 kilograms (with an on-board spare wheel). Two classic rims shod with BF Goodrich tyres will be available: 14 and 15 inches according to each event\u2019s regulations. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

After an intensive test programme in France and in Abu Dhabi carried out by several drivers from various representative domains and world champions in their respective fields, the first Z\u00e9phyr will go on sale and for rent for the 2020 Dakar. As is the case in all its activities, PH Sport offers a top-quality turn-key service integrating all the technical, sporting and logistical aspects of off-road rallying. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The SSVs have been accepted in the SxS category since 2017 and comply with regulations that allow the transformation of light vehicles within capped costs to give amateurs an accessible, enjoyable vehicle and at the same time allowing manufacturers to spot future talents. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pr\u00e9sente en rallye-raid depuis 2016, PH Sport approfondit ses liens envers la discipline avec le SSV T3P le plus abouti jamais propos\u00e9 : le Z\u00e9phyr. Leader fran\u00e7ais de la pr\u00e9paration, de l\u2019exploitation et de la location de voitures de rallye du niveau r\u00e9gional au WRC, PH Sport a effectu\u00e9 ses premiers pas en rallye-raid en louant les anciennes Peugeot officielles d\u00e8s 2016. L\u2019\u00e9quipe a alors progress\u00e9 d\u2019ann\u00e9e en ann\u00e9e pour mener Khalid Al Qassimi \u00e0 la sixi\u00e8me place du Dakar 2018, puis S\u00e9bastien Loeb au podium lors de la derni\u00e8re \u00e9dition. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cette activit\u00e9 s\u2019appr\u00eate d\u00e9sormais \u00e0 ouvrir un nouveau chapitre avec la construction du Z\u00e9phyr, un SSV T3P produit par la structure \u00e9tablie \u00e0 Langres (Haute-Marne).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bas\u00e9 sur le Can-Am Maverick X3, le Z\u00e9phyr se distingue des SSV traditionnels gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 une carrosserie l\u00e9g\u00e8re en carbone dessin\u00e9e autour du ch\u00e2ssis tubulaire homologu\u00e9 par la FIA pour proposer une alternative cr\u00e9dible, \u00e9conomique et performante aux produits de la cat\u00e9gorie T1.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Si le moteur reste d\u2019origine afin de respecter les r\u00e8glementations FIA avec sa bride, un travail sp\u00e9cifique a \u00e9t\u00e9 apport\u00e9 sur les autres \u00e9l\u00e9ments du v\u00e9hicule. Parmi ceux-ci, on retrouve des amortisseurs BOS de derni\u00e8re g\u00e9n\u00e9ration \u00e0 trois voies avec but\u00e9e hydraulique de compression et de d\u00e9tente, des ressorts ultral\u00e9gers ainsi qu\u2019un faisceau \u00e9lectrique permettant l\u2019usage d\u2019un ECU de derni\u00e8re g\u00e9n\u00e9ration, d\u2019un dashboard \u00e9lectronique central ainsi que l\u2019acquisition de donn\u00e9es.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Alli\u00e9es aux si\u00e8ges carbone, ces modifications contiennent le poids \u00e0 900 kilogrammes (avec une roue de secours embarqu\u00e9e). Deux mod\u00e8les de jantes chauss\u00e9es de pneumatiques BF Goodrich seront d\u2019ailleurs pr\u00e9sent\u00e9s : 14 et 15\u2019\u2019, selon le r\u00e8glement d\u00e9di\u00e9 \u00e0 chaque \u00e9preuve. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Apr\u00e8s un intense programme d\u2019essais en France puis \u00e0 Abu Dhabi men\u00e9 avec plusieurs pilotes issus d\u2019horizons diff\u00e9rents et repr\u00e9sentatifs et des champions du monde dans leurs sp\u00e9cialit\u00e9s respectives, les premiers exemplaires du Z\u00e9phyr seront disponibles \u00e0 la vente et \u00e0 la location pour l\u2019\u00e9dition 2020 du Dakar. Comme dans l\u2019ensemble de ses activit\u00e9s, PH Sport pourra proposer une prestation cl\u00e9 en main haut de gamme, int\u00e9grant tous les aspects techniques, sportifs et logistiques inh\u00e9rents au rallye-raid.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Accept\u00e9s au sein de la cat\u00e9gorie SxS au Dakar depuis 2017, les SSV r\u00e9pondent \u00e0 un r\u00e8glement permettant de transformer avec des co\u00fbts ma\u00eetris\u00e9s des v\u00e9hicules l\u00e9gers pour offrir aux amateurs une plateforme accessible et ludique tout en donnant l\u2019occasion aux constructeurs de rep\u00e9rer les talents de demain.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00ab Nous sommes tr\u00e8s enthousiastes pour ce d\u00e9fi et l\u2019engouement est v\u00e9ritablement au rendez-vous puisqu\u2019une grande majorit\u00e9 des vingt exemplaires de la premi\u00e8re s\u00e9rie a d\u00e9j\u00e0 trouv\u00e9 preneur tant \u00e0 la vente qu\u2019\u00e0 la location. Notre d\u00e9couverte du rallye-raid se poursuit donc \u00e0 travers de nouvelles aventures et le timing nous semblait parfait pour nous lancer dans la construction du Z\u00e9phyr, le SSV le plus abouti \u00e0 ce jour.
