Bernard Piallat and David Henry found a common passion, rallying, and soon they were more interested in the R5 turbos than tanks!<span style=\"font-size: 15px;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>The former hailed from Avignon and was a mechanic with Simon Racing while the latter was a bodywork repairer in the family garage. They began to prepare rally cars together and founded PH Sport in 1990.<span style=\"font-size: 15px;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>They didn&#8217;t have to wait long for their first victories, in particular thanks to Daniel For\u00e8s who won the 1994 Renault Sport Cup. The renown of the team soon spread beyond the east of France and Jean-Fran\u00e7ois B\u00e9renger put his trust in PH Sport to help him race in the Citro\u00ebn ZX Cup.<span style=\"font-size: 15px;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Then Piallat, the man in charge of the company since 1997, heard about a young talented driver who went by the name of S\u00e9bastien Loeb. Over three seasons the PH Sport team was involved in the collective effort that helped the career of the young prodigy to take off with victory in the 1999 Saxo Kit Car Championship.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-601 size-large\" src=\"https:\/\/www.ph-sport.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/02\/Loeb_1999.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1024\" height=\"651\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.ph-sport.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/02\/Loeb_1999.jpg 2580w, https:\/\/www.ph-sport.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/02\/Loeb_1999-300x191.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.ph-sport.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/02\/Loeb_1999-768x488.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.ph-sport.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/02\/Loeb_1999-1024x651.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/www.ph-sport.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/02\/Loeb_1999-1080x687.jpg 1080w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><span style=\"font-size: 15px;\">The winning machine began to gather momentum and the Equipe de France FFSA and Citro\u00ebn Sport asked the team to look after their large-scale programmes. Loeb with the support of PH Sport won the French 2RM Terre Championship in 2000 and the Junior WRC title in 2001.<\/span><span style=\"font-size: 15px;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>In 2008 S\u00e9bastien Ogier also clinched the JWRC title with the Chalindrey-based outfit. The adventure continued with the Citro\u00ebn Junior team rewarded by the C4 WRC&#8217;s victory in Rally Portugal in 2010.<span style=\"font-size: 15px;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-602\" src=\"https:\/\/www.ph-sport.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/02\/74074_wOgier06POR10298-e1517570628864.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1024\" height=\"585\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.ph-sport.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/02\/74074_wOgier06POR10298-e1517570628864.jpg 3312w, https:\/\/www.ph-sport.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/02\/74074_wOgier06POR10298-e1517570628864-300x171.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.ph-sport.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/02\/74074_wOgier06POR10298-e1517570628864-768x439.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.ph-sport.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/02\/74074_wOgier06POR10298-e1517570628864-1024x585.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/www.ph-sport.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/02\/74074_wOgier06POR10298-e1517570628864-1080x617.jpg 1080w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><span style=\"font-size: 15px;\">While PH Sport continued its involvement at all levels of the rally pyramid, it focused on the world championship and helped the talent of Thierry Neuville (Citro\u00ebn Junior WRT programme with a DS 3 WRC in 2012), and St\u00e9phane Lefebvre (JWRC and WRC3 champion with a DS 3 R3 in 2014) to blossom. Robert Kubica also won the WRC2 title with the team in 2013.<\/span><span style=\"font-size: 15px;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>In 2016, Citro\u00ebn Racing asked PH Sport to run the Abu Dhabi Total World Rally Team. The team competed in its first Dakar in 2017 with Khalid Al Qassimi who put on some good performances at the wheel of a 2008 DKR. In 2018 the driver from Abu Dhabi finished sixth overall in a 3008 DKR MAXI.<\/span><span style=\"font-size: 15px;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>In 2019, PH Sport scores a\u00a0superb double on the national scene, powering Yohan Rossel and the Citro\u00ebn C3 R5 to the Tarmac title and Lionel Baud&#8217;s DS 3 WRC to the Gravel crown. The same year, the team develops the Zephyr by PH Sport, its first vehicle designed for off-road rallying. With Conrad Rautenbach at the steering wheel, the Zephyr by PH Sport finishes a promising 4th in the SxS category right from his first Dakar in 2020.\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-size: 15px;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>The expansion of its activities has led to a move to bigger and more modern premises in Langres.
